“Celebrating the Export Excellence of Southern African Brands”
Nominations are open for the 2021 Southern
Africa Regional Exporters Awards coordinated by the Eastern Cape
Development Corporation and supported by the USAID Southern Africa Trade
and Investment Hub (USAID TradeHub)
The USAID TradeHub actively engages with nine
countries in Southern Africa to increase sustainable growth, export
competitiveness, and trade within these countries. To celebrate excellence
amongst the many exporter firms from these countries, the USAID TradeHub has
brought together all the Exporter of the Year winners from eight of these
countries to compete in the Regional Exporter Awards. As such, winning firms
from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and
Zambia will compete for the overall winner of the Southern Africa Exporter
Awards in various categories.
Nominations will open on 05 November 2021
and close on 19 November 2021.
The Awards will be conferred in the following
categories:

Exporter of the Year: South Africa and United States markets
·
Buyer of the Year: South Africa and
United States markets
·
Trade promotion service provider (TPSP) of the Year
·
Capital Provider of the Year
Entries will be judged by 12 of the region’s
leading trade and export professionals, who are well versed in regional and
international trade. The sponsors will also be announced on the 01 December 2021.

Due to Covid-19 regulations, this will be a
hybrid event, allowing for limited in-person participation. The platform and login
details will be provided for the virtual participation ahead of the event.
